Recess 101
Carlton Avenue Elementary is pleased to have Recess 101 as our P.E. program and recess/lunch support!
All students at Carlton Avenue receive weekly P.E. instruction as part of their regular classroom P.E. program. During these P.E. sessions, our PE Coach teaches Carlton Avenue students the rules of sports and popular outdoor games, then allows them time to practice their skills. Students are encouraged to take this knowledge with them to the playground for recess and lunchtime play. During recess and lunch, Coach also runs structured activities and games for the students, with an emphasis on following the rules, fair play, and good sportsmanship! Coach trains student recess leaders to help facilitate games during recess and lunch!
